The delegation of Uruguay proposed the reinsertion of the following text from document A/AC.254/4/Rev.3:
)ب( قيام موظف عمومي ، بشكل مباشر أو غير مباشر ، بطلب أو قبول مزية غير مستحقة ، لصالح الموظف نفسه أو لصالح شخص آخر أو هيئة أخرى ، مقابل قيامه أو امتناعه عن القيام بفعل أثناء أداء مهامه الرسمية .اقترح وفد أوروغواي اعادة ادراج النص التالي المأخوذ من الوثيقة A/AC.254/4/Rev.3 :

(a) The promise, offering or giving to a public official, directly or indirectly, of an undue advantage, for the official himself or herself or another person or entity, in order that the official act or refrain from acting in the exercise of his or her official duties;
(أ) وعد موظف عمومي بمزية غير مستحقة أو عرضها عليه أو منحه اياها، بشكل مباشر أو غير مباشر، سواء لصالح الموظف نفسه أو لصالح شخص آخر أو هيئة أخرى، لكي يقوم ذلك الموظف بفعل ما أو يمتنع عن القيام بفعل ما ضمن نطاق ممارسته مهامه الرسمية؛

(a) Bribing of a public official: the promise, offering or giving to a public official or a person who performs public duties, directly or indirectly, of an undue advantage, for the official himself or herself or another person or entity, in order that the official act or refrain from acting in the exercise of his or her public duties;4

It allows the Minister of Labour to direct the Canada Labour Relations Board, or another person or body, to conduct a vote among employees in a bargaining unit as to their acceptance or rejection of the employer's last offer made to the trade union in settlement of all outstanding issues.
