OHCHR facilitated the participation of the Chairperson-Rapporteur of the Working Group on Indigenous Populations, the Special Rapporteur on indigenous issues and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Populations in the fourth session of the Permanent Forum held in New York in May 2005.
26- ويسَّرت المفوضية مشاركة رئيس - مقرر الفريق العامل المعني بالسكان الأصليين، والمقرر الخاص المعني بقضايا السكان الأصليين وعضو من مجلس أمناء صندوق التبرعات لصالح السكان الأصليين في الدورة الرابعة للمحفل الدائم التي عُقدت بنيويورك في أيار/مايو 2005.

The Permanent Forum acknowledges and supports the strong appeal made by indigenous peoples' representatives to Member States, United Nations agencies, in particular the Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Populations under OHCHR, and others to secure funding for the participation of indigenous peoples in the preparatory process and the Conference to be held in 2014.

11. She welcomed the Secretary-General's reports on the activities for the Decade (A/55/268) and on the status of the Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Populations (A/55/202), which dealt with a wide range of issues and showed that the Decade was indeed a very useful framework for action.

The current Advisory Group is composed of the members of the Board of Trustees of the Voluntary Fund for Indigenous Populations, who are all indigenous experts (see below), the Chairperson of the Working Group on Indigenous Populations and another United Nations expert, specialized in project and programme management, appointed by the Coordinator of the Decade.
