The two global campaigns on secure tenure and urban governance and all other activities will be aligned with efforts to implement the Millennium Declaration targets on slums as well as on water and sanitation.

1. Requests the Executive Director, in developing and implementing policies of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, to integrate the protection of persons belonging to vulnerable and disadvantaged groups into all activities of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, including the Global Campaign for secure tenure and the Global Campaign on Urban Governance;

إذ يشير بالذكر إلى قرار الجمعية العامة 56/205 المؤرخ 21 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2001 الصادر عن الدورة الاستثنائية للجمعية العامة بشأن إجراء استعراض وتقييم شاملين لتنفيذ نتائج مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية الذي أعربت فيه الجمعية عن مساندتها للحملتين العالميتين بشأن ضمان الحيازة وأسلوب الإدارة الحضرية كنقطتين استراتيجيتين للشروع في التنفيذ الفعال لجدول أعمال الموئل،
