1. Requests the Executive Director, in developing and implementing UN-HABITAT gender policy, to promote the full integration of gender perspectives in all activities of UN-HABITAT, especially in the campaigns on secure tenure and urban governance and in slum upgrading projects;

At this meeting, the sSecretariat presented a progress report on the implementation of the global campaigns on secure tenure and urban governance and explained how the twin campaigns constituted entry points forto the implementation of the Habitat Agenda. The sSecretariat also elaborated on the principles underlying each of the two campaigns.
9 - وفي هذا الاجتماع عرضت الأمانة تقريراً مرحلياً عن تنفيذ الحملتين العالميتين بشأن ضمان الحيازة والإدارة الحضرية وشرحت كيف تشكل الحملتان التوأمان نقطتي عبور لتنفيذ جدول أعمال الموئل، كما بحثت الأمانة بتوسع المبادئ الكامنة وراء كل من هاتين الحملتين.

Recognizing that the overall thrust and strategic vision of UN-Habitat and its emphasis on the two global campaigns on secure tenure and urban governance are strategic points of entry for the effective implementation of the Habitat Agenda, especially for guiding international cooperation in respect of adequate shelter for all and sustainable human settlements development,
