21. The Committee is concerned that Roma women and girls remain in vulnerable and marginalized situations, especially in regards to health, education, employment and participation in public life and decision-making.

It also calls on the State party to accelerate achievement of Roma women's de facto equality by strengthening the coordination among all agencies working on Roma, non-discrimination and gender equality issues, particularly in the areas of health, education, employment and participation in public life.
وتدعو الدولة الطرف إلى الإسراع بتحقيق المساواة الفعلية للنساء من طائفة روما بتعزيز التنسيق بين جميع الوكالات التي تعالج المسائل المتعلقة بطائفة روما وعدم التمييز، والمساواة بين الجنسين، ولا سيما في مجالات الصحة والتعليم والعمل والمشاركة في الحياة العامة.

In regard to the allegations of excessive force used by the police against Roma persons in Pazardjik on 28 June 1992, the Government replied that after a person armed with a knife had attempted to assault a guard, police patrols arrived to apprehend the suspect.
٧٧- فيما يتعلق بادعاءات القوة المفرطة التي استخدمتها الشرطة ضد اشخاص من طائفة روما في بازارجيك في ٨٢ حزيران/يونيه ٢٩٩١، ردت الحكومة بأنه إثر شروع شخص مسلح بمدية في مهاجمة أحد الحراس، وصلت داورية شرطة للقبض على الشخص المشتبه فيه.

196. The Committee recommends the State party to take effective measures to eliminate the multiple forms of discrimination against Roma women and girls and to enhance respect for their human rights through effective measures, including temporary special measures in accordance with article 4, paragraph 1 of the Convention and general recommendation 25 of the Committee.
196- وتوصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف باتخاذ تدابير فعالة لإزالة أشكال التمييز المتعددة التي تُمارس ضد النساء والفتيات من طائفة روما وأن تعزز الاحترام لحقوق الإنسان الخاصة بهن بتدابير فعالة، بما يشمل اتخاذ تدابير خاصة مؤقتة وفقا للفقرة 1 من المادة 4 من الاتفاقية والتوصية العامة رقم 25 الصادرة عن اللجنة.

In Serbia, advocacy and training has led to more open discussion of human rights issues in relation to housing and evictions of Roma.

It urges the State party to implement targeted measures to eliminate discrimination against Roma women in all areas within specific timetables, to monitor their implementation and achievement of stated goals, including within the Decade of Roma Inclusion 2005-2015, and to take corrective action whenever necessary.
وتحث الدولة الطرف على تنفيذ تدابير محددة الهدف للقضاء على التمييز ضد النساء من طائفة روما في جميع المجالات في إطار جداول زمنية محددة ورصد تنفيذها وتحقيق الأهداف المعلنة، بما في ذلك أثناء عقد إدماج طائفة روما 2005-2015 مع اتخاذ تدابير تصحيحية عند الاقتضاء.

22. 197. The Committee is particularly concerned about the report, of December 2005, by the Ombudsman (Public Defender) regarding uninformed and involuntary sterilization of Roma women and the lack of urgent Government action to implement the recommendations contained in the Ombudsman's report and to adopt legislative changes on informed consent to sterilization as well as to provide justice for victims of such acts undertaken without consent.
197- وتعرب اللجنة بوجه خاص عن قلقها بشأن التقرير المؤرخ كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2005 الذي أصدره أمين المظالم (محامي الشعب) بشأن عمليات التعقيم الموحدة والقسرية التي تُجرى للنساء من طائفة روما وعدم اتخاذ الحكومة إجراء عاجلا لتنفيذ التوصيات الواردة في تقرير أمين المظالم وإقرار تغييرات تشريعية بشأن الموافقة عن علم على التعقيم، وكذلك إنصاف ضحايا هذه الأعمال التي نُفذت دون موافقتهم.
