On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, I wish to strongly protest against these violations of the Nicosia flight information region and of the Republic's airspace by Turkish Air Force aircraft.

On 18 October, two (2) F-16 Turkish military aircraft entered the Nicosia FIR, violating international air traffic regulations before returning to the FIR of Ankara.
وفي 18 تشرين الأول/أكتوبـر دخلت طائرتان عسكريتان تركيتان من طراز ف - 16 إلى منطقة معلومات طيران نيقوسيا منتهكتين بذلك القواعد الدولية للملاحة الجوية قبل أن تعودا إلى منطقة معلومات طيران أنقرة.

The five aircraft exited the Nicosia flight information region at 1040 hours.

On that day, two F-16 and one C-160 aircraft of the Turkish Air Force entered the northern part of the Nicosia flight information region, violating international air traffic regulations as well as the national airspace of the Republic of Cyprus.
ففي ذلك اليوم دخلت الجزء الشمالي من إقليم معلومات طيران نيقوسيا طائرتان من طراز F-16 وطائرة من طراز C-160 تابعة لسلاح الجو التركي منتهكة بذلك قواعد الحركة الجوية الدولية فضلا عن المجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص.

The C-160 aircraft returned later on the same day and entered once again the Nicosia flight information region, violating international air traffic regulations and the national airspace of the Republic of Cyprus, flying over the area of Karpasia before exiting towards the flight information region of Ankara.
وعادت هذه الطائرة من طراز C-160 في وقت لاحق من نفس اليوم لتدخل مرة أخرى إلى منطقة معلومات طيران نيقوسيا منتهكة القواعد الدولية للملاحة الجوية والمجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص وحلقت فوق منطقة كرباسيا قبل أن تخرج باتجاه منطقة معلومات طيران أنقرة.

As stated in my previous letters, such unauthorized intrusions into the Nicosia flight information region and the airspace of the Republic are in violation of international air traffic rules and seriously endanger civil aviation flights over Cyprus.
وكما ورد في رسائلي السابقة، تمثل عمليات الدخول هذه غير المأذون بها ﻹقليم معلومات طيران نيقوسيا والمجال الجوي للجمهورية انتهاكا لقواعد الحركة الجوية الدولية وتعرض رحلات الطيران المدني فوق قبرص لخطر جسيم.

The two aircraft flew along the western and southern coast of Cyprus and exited the north-eastern Nicosia flight information region at 1604 hours returning to Turkey.
وحلقت الطائرتان على طول الساحل الغربي والجنوبي لقبرص وخرجتا من القطاع الشمالي الشرقي من إقليم معلومات طيران نيقوسيا في الساعة ٠٤/١٦ عائدتين الى تركيا.

The two aircraft met north of Kormakitis at 1210 hours and they exited the Nicosia flight information region in a north-western direction towards Turkey.
والتقت الطائرتان في شمال كورماكيتيس، وفي الساعة ١٠/١٢ خرجتا من إقليم معلومات طيران نيقوسيا نحو الشمال الغربي باتجاه تركيا.

The repeated violations of the Nicosia flight information region and of the national airspace of the Republic of Cyprus by Turkish military aircraft are indicative of the provocative attitude of Turkey, which in 1974 invaded and occupied 37 per cent of the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.
إن الانتهاكات المتكررة من جانب الطائرات العسكرية التركية لاقليم معلومات طيران نيقوسيا وللمجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص إنما تدل على السلوك الاستفزازي لتركيا، التي قامت في عام ١٩٧٤ بغزو واحتلال ٣٧ في المائة من أراضي جمهورية قبرص.

1. A formation of six Turkish Air Force aircraft entered at 1000 hours without permission the Nicosia flight information region, flying at an altitude of 27,800 to 29,000 feet.
١ - دخـَل تشكيل مـن ست طائرات تابعة للسلاح الجـوي التركي دون إذن إقليم معلومات طيران نيقوسيا على ارتفاع يتراوح بين ٨٠٠ ٢٧ و ٠٠٠ ٢٩ قدم.

وانتهكت الطائرتان المجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبــرص وهمــا تحلقــان علــى ارتفــاع ٠٠٠ ١٥ قدم، وخرجت إحداهما من إقليم معلومات طيران نيقوسيا في الساعة ٣٧/١١، بينما خرجت الثانية في الساعة ٣٥/١١، وذلك باتجاه تركيا.

Another formation of two F-4 Turkish aircraft entered the north-eastern and eastern Nicosia flight information region from 1244 to 1259 hours on 25 March 1996, flying at an altitude of 26,000 to 35,000 feet.
وقام تشكيل آخر يتكون من طائرتين تركيتين من طراز F-4 بدخول القطاعين الشمالي الشرقي والشرقي من إقليم معلومات طيران نيقوسيا من الساعــة ٤٤/١٢ إلى الساعــة ٥٩/١٢ مــن يوم ٢٥ آذار/مارس ١٩٩٦، وكانتا تحلقان على ارتفاع يتراوح بين ٠٠٠ ٢٦ و ٠٠٠ ٣٥ قدم.

On 22 June, from 0815 to 1100 hours, 12 F-16 Turkish jet fighter planes and two C-160 Turkish military planes flying in a south-easterly direction violated the Nicosia flight information region.

On 10 September, four F-16 Turkish fighter jets and one KC-135 Turkish military plane at 1635 hours violated the Nicosia flight information region, flying over the eastern Nicosia flight information region, and exited at 1707 hours heading in a north-westerly direction.

On 21 October, sixteen (16) F-16 Turkish military aircraft entered the Nicosia FIR, violating international air traffic regulations and national airspace of the Republic of Cyprus, as follows:
وفي 21 تشرين الأول/أكتوبـر دخلـت 16 طائرة عسكرية تركية من طراز ف - 16 إلى منطقة معلومات طيران نيقوسيا منتهكة القواعد الدولية للملاحة الجوية والمجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص على النحو التالي:
