III. Recruitment of temporary assistance staff 11. In its resolutions 59/265, 60/236 B and 61/236, the General Assembly requested that the Secretary-General, when recruiting temporary assistance staff in the language services, ensure that all language services be given equal treatment and provided with equally favourable working conditions and resources.
11 - طلبت الجمعية العامة، في قراراتها 59/265 و 60/236 باء و 61/236، إلى الأمين العام أن يكفل عند الاستعانة بموظفي المساعدة المؤقتة في دوائر اللغات، المساواة في المعاملة بين جميع دوائر اللغات وتوفير ظروف العمل والموارد الملائمة لها على قدم المساواة.

Also, owing to the lack of adequate procedures and the consequent lack of transparency and consistency in the rostering and selection of candidates, OIOS was unable to establish whether the process of the recruitment of temporary assistance staff ensured that all language services were given equal treatment and provided with equally favourable working conditions and resources.
