In congratulating UNICEF today for 60 years' worth of achievement, let us also remind ourselves that we have much more to accomplish before we can say that we live in A world fit for children.

At its meeting on 6 May, the Preparatory Committee decided to transmit to this special session for further consideration the draft outcome document entitled " A world fit for children " .

337. The Committee recommends that the national plan of action cover comprehensively the Convention with due consideration to the outcome document, " A world fit for Children " , of the General Assembly special session on children.
