وتذكّر اللجنة، فيما يتعلق بحالات الاختفاء القسري، بأن الحرمان من الحرية ثم عدم الإقرار به أو عدم الكشف عن مصير الشخص المختفي، يحرم هذا الشخص من حماية القانون ويعرض حياته لخطر جسيم ودائم تعتبر الدولة مسؤولة عنه.
