4. Also at the same meeting, the Committee decided, by acclamation, to recommend to the General Assembly to reappoint Afsaneh Beschloss (Islamic Republic of Iran) and Ivan Pictet (Switzerland) as ad hoc members for a one-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2007 (see para. 6 below).

In accordance with past practice, the Secretary-General proposes to reappoint Mr. Pictet, who has served since 2005, and to appoint Ms. Hilda Ochoa-Brillembourg (Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela), who would replace Mr. Jiang, as ad hoc members of the Investments Committee for one-year terms beginning 1 January 2011.
