4. Requests the Secretariat to place texts of article 11 agreements on the Basel Convention web site.

Pursuant to paragraph 5 of that decision, Japan, as lead country, working in close consultation with the small intersessional working group, prepared the draft updated technical guidelines, which were made available on the website of the Basel Convention on 23 December 2013.

6. Requests the Secretariat to compile and synthesize the completed tables and to publish these and the preliminary assessments by 15 June 2011 on the website of the Basel Convention;

1. Requests the Secretariat to develop a table of contents for the technical guidelines on transboundary movements of e-waste, in particular regarding the distinction between waste and non-waste, for publication on the website of the Basel Convention by 31 May 2010;

5. Requests the Secretariat, subject to the availability of voluntary funding, to prepare revised draft technical guidelines, taking into account the comments received, for publication on the website of the Basel Convention by 31 January 2011;

Pursuant to the invitation made in decision VIII/16, as stated in paragraph 2 above, comments were received from the European Community and its member States, Japan and Norway, which were placed on the website of the Basel Convention (http://www.basel.int/techmatters/code/comments.php?guidId=55).

Upon receipt, the Secretariat circulated these notifications to all Parties to the Basel Convention and placed the full texts of these communications on the website of the Basel Convention (http://www.basel.int/natdef/frsetmain.php).

By its decision IX/4, the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal requested the Secretariat, subject to the availability of funds, to prepare the following four documents to be published on the website of the Basel Convention by 30 November 2009 and to be submitted to the Open-ended Working Group at its seventh session:

Requests the Secretariat to prepare a compilation of the information received from Parties on their difficulties with national classification or control procedures relating to the import of wastes contained in Annex IX and to post that information on the website of the Basel Convention (http://www.basel.int) and update it on a continuous basis;

The Bureau requested the Secretariat to assist in transmitting the document to Parties and other stakeholders by e-mail, and to place it on the Basel Convention website.

Taking into account these comments, a lead country or, if one was not identified, the Secretariat, subject to available funding, was to prepare a revised version of the legal analysis by 30 April 2012 for publication on the Basel Convention website and for consideration by the Open-ended Working Group at its eighth meeting.
