Given the increasing number and scope of peace-keeping operations, my Government considers that such consultations should not be confined to only UNOSOM II, but also should extend to other peace-keeping operations, as and when necessary.
ونظرا لعدد عمليات حفظ السلم المتزايد ونطاقها المتسع، ترى حكومتي ألا تقتصر تلك المشاورات على بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة في الصومال، بل ينبغي لها أن تشمل عند اللزوم عمليات أخرى لحفظ السلم.

This cost estimate takes into account the actual dates of arrival of military and civilian personnel in the mission area and savings made as a result of redeployment to UNOMUR of equipment from other peace-keeping operations.

In this reply, the Department generally agreed with the findings and recommendations of the report and welcomed the basic finding that the deployment of contractual personnel is a viable means of meeting UNPROFOR's support needs and could be considered as an alternative method of supporting other peace-keeping operations.
وفي هذا الرد اتفقت اﻹدارة بشكل عام مع نتائج وتوصيات التقرير ورحبت بالنتيجة اﻷساسية القائلة بأن وزع الموظفين التعاقديين هو وسيلة قابلة للبقاء للوفاء باحتياجات قوة اﻷمم المتحدة للحماية من الدعم ويمكن اعتبارها طريقة بديلة لدعم عمليات أخرى لحفظ السلم.

Moreover, the Under-Secretary-General indicated that the extension of the UNPROFOR pilot project to other peace-keeping operations is likely to be required only in missions of similar magnitude.
٣٨ - وباﻹضافة إلى ذلك أشار وكيل اﻷمين العام إلى أن مد نطاق المشروع التجريبي لقوة اﻷمم المتحدة للحماية إلى عمليات أخرى لحفظ السلم من المحتمل أن يُطلب فقط في بعثات مماثلة في الحجم.

6. In accordance with General Assembly resolution 48/240 B, assets of ONUMOZ to be redeployed to other peace-keeping operations or other United Nations bodies will be transferred only after their residual value has been determined and provision has been made in the budgets of the receiving operations to reimburse the ONUMOZ Special Account.
٦ - وعملا بقرار الجمعية العامة ٤٨/٢٤٠ باء، لا تحول أصول العملية في موزامبيق المزمع نقلها الى عمليات أخرى لحفظ السلم أو الى هيئات أخرى من هيئات اﻷمم المتحدة إلا بعد تحديد قيمتها المتبقية ورصد اعتماد في ميزانيات العمليات المتلقية لتسديد قيمتها للحساب الخاص لعملية اﻷمم المتحدة في موزامبيق.

17. Savings with regard to the procurement of prefabricated buildings were realized as working accommodation units for military personnel and civilian police and warehouses were transferred to ONUMOZ from other peace-keeping operations.
١٧ - وتحققت وفورات فيما يتعلق بشراء المباني السابقة التجهيز نظرا ﻷن وحدات الاقامة والعمل لﻷفراد العسكريين وأفراد الشرطة المدنية والمستودعات قد نقلت الى عملية اﻷمم المتحدة في موزامبيق من عمليات أخرى لحفظ السلم.

2. Requests the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly, no later than 31 March 1995, on the feasibility of procedures for valuation and transfer of costs for assets to be redeployed from a peace-keeping operation during its liquidation phase to other peace-keeping operations or other United Nations bodies, and for reimbursement to the special account of the liquidating operation as expeditiously as possible;
٢ - تطلب الى اﻷمين العام أن يقدم تقريرا الى الجمعية العامة، في موعد لا يتجاوز ٣١ آذار/ مارس ١٩٩٥، عن إمكانية وضع إجراءات لتقييم وتحويل تكاليف الأصول التي ستنقل من عملية لحفظ السلم خلال مرحلة تصفيتها الى عمليات أخرى لحفظ السلم أو هيئات أخرى لﻷمم المتحدة، لتسديد قيمتها الى الحساب الخاص للعملية المصفاة بأسرع وقت ممكن؛

10. The Advisory Committee recommends that, based on the performance of UNAMIC and UNTAC, the Secretariat should evaluate administrative and budgetary experience gained, especially in such areas of major expenditure as personnel costs and budgeting for supplies and equipment, with a view to utilizing this experience in other peace-keeping operations.
١٠ - توصي اللجنة الاستشارية بأن تقوم اﻷمانة العامة، على أساس أداء بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة المتقدمة في كمبوديا وسلطة اﻷمم المتحدة الانتقالية في كمبوديا بتقييم الخبرة المكتسبة في ميداني الادارة والميزانية، وخاصة في مجالات الانفاق الكبرى مثل تكاليف الموظفين ورصد الاعتمادات للوازم والمعدات، وذلك بغية الاستفادة من هذه الخبرة في عمليات أخرى لحفظ السلم.
