Nevertheless, the Committee is concerned at the limited information on adolescent health as well as the high rate of teenage pregnancies, increasing use of drugs and alcohol among adolescents, and the limited efforts made to provide them with adequate social, psychological, rehabilitation and reintegration assistance.

32. Turning to the issue of smoking, she said that a recent survey on adolescent health and lifestyle indicated that the situation was improving, as young people were starting to smoke at a later age and rates among girls 14 to 18 years old were in decline.

366. The Committee recommends that the State party pay close attention to adolescent health, taking into account the Committee's general comment No. 4 (2003) on adolescent health and development in the context of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The Committee recommends that the State party, taking into account the Committee's general comment No. 4 (2003) on adolescent health and development in the context of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, gather sufficient data on adolescent health.

CRC recommended, inter alia, that Turkmenistan adequately implement the National Programme on HIV/STI Prevention in Turkmenistan (2005-2010); and undertake a study on adolescent health with a view to developing a comprehensive adolescent health policy addressing in particular drug addiction.
وأوصت لجنة حقوق الطفل بجملة أمور منها أن تنفذ تركمانستان على النحو الواجب البرنامج الوطني للوقاية من الإصابة بفيروس نقص المناعة البشرية/الأمراض المنقولة بالاتصال الجنسي في تركمانستان (2005-2010)؛ وأن تجري دراسة عن صحة المراهقين بهدف وضع سياسة شاملة مخصصة لصحة المراهقين تتصدى، بصفة خاصة، لإدمان المخدرات(116).

166. Taking into account its general comment No. 4 (2003) on adolescent health and development in the context of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Committee recommends that the State party strengthen its efforts to promote adolescent health, including sex and reproductive health education in schools, and to provide adolescents with youth-sensitive and confidential counselling and health-care services.
166- مع مراعاة التعليق العام رقم 4(2003) عن صحة المراهقين والتنمية في سياق اتفاقية حقوق الطفل، توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف بتعزيز جهودها للنهوض بصحة المراهقين، بما في ذلك التثقيف في مجالي الجنس والصحة الإنجابية في المدارس، وتزويد المراهقين والمراهقات بخدمات إسداء المشورة السرية التي تراعي احتياجات الشباب وبخدمات الرعاية الصحية.
