27. Ms. Gnacadja noted that, although the Government of Equatorial Guinea was in the process of drafting two new laws on matters relating to women's rights, those texts were not yet in force.

With reference to the remarks made by Ms. Gnacadja, she stressed that the State authorities had the will to confirm de jure equality between women and men: although a number of the relevant legal provisions were still in draft form, the transitional measures taken by the Government had the force of law.
وبالإشارة إلى الملاحظات التي أدلت بها السيدة غناكاديا شدّدت على أن لدى السلطات في الدولة الإرادة لتأكيد المساواة بحكم القانون بين النساء والرجال. ورغم أن عددا من الأحكام القانونية ذات الصلة لا تزال في شكل مشروع، فإن للتدابير الانتقالية التي اتخذتها الحكومة قوة القانون.

50. Ms. Gnacadja said that, according to the information provided, the Maltese Social Security Act, as amended, defined only one person as the head of the household, whereas under the Civil Code, as amended, parental authority was to be exercised by common accord of both parents.

54. Ms. Gnacadja said that women were at a disadvantage in finding jobs since they were often passed over because of the possibility of pregnancy or the fact that they had small children (report, para. 125).

24. Mr. Gnacadja (Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification Secretariat) said that land degradation, global warming and the loss of biodiversity were closely related issues that must be accorded the highest priority in the pursuit of sustainable development.

32. Ms. Gnacadja said that she would appreciate clarification on the legal situation with respect to filiation of children born in and out of wedlock, rights to alimony and child support and custody of children following divorce, and the rights of ownership or inheritance of the surviving spouse, in the light of the diversity of legislation pertaining to persons of different faiths.
32 - السيدة غناكاديا: قالت إنه سيكون من دواعي تقديرها أن يتم تقديم توضيح للوضع القانوني فيما يتعلق بإثبات بنوة الأطفال الذي يولدون خارج إطار الزواج، والحق في النفقة وإعالة الطفل وحضانة الأطفال في أعقاب الطلاق، وحقوق الزوج الباقي على قيد الحياة في الملكية أو الميراث، نظرا لتنوع التشريعات المتصلة بالأشخاص المنتمين إلى ديانات مختلفة.
