On 13 May, the Council held consultations on the protection of civilians in eastern Chad following the departure of the United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic and Chad (MINURCAT); the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Valerie Amos, participated.

As Chair of the OCHA Donor Support Group (ODSG), New Zealand looks forward to hosting the annual OCHA/ODSG high-level meeting in June next year and to welcoming Under-Secretary-General Valerie Amos to New Zealand.
