12. In its decision 31/1, the Committee submitted a request to the General Assembly for an extension of its meeting time (A/59/38, Part II). In particular, the Committee requested the Assembly to authorize it to meet for an additional week at its thirty-third, thirty-fourth and thirty-fifth sessions.
