As these two working groups had similar tasks and duties, the Royal Government of Cambodia merged the two task forces in 2009 to form the National Task Force on Anti-Human Trafficking, Smuggling, Labour Exploitation and Sexual Exploitation of Women and Children, giving it a more extensive scope for action, and responsibilities at both the national and subnational levels.
