64. As at 17 March 1995, unpaid assessed contributions to the ONUSAL special account since the inception of the Mission (including the United Nations Observer Group for Central America (ONUCA)) amounted to $23,649,501.

Statement XXV combines the accounts of the United Nations Observer Group in Central America (ONUCA), which concluded most of its activities at the end of its last mandate period in April 1992, and the United Nations Observer Mission in El Salvador (ONUSAL), in accordance with General Assembly resolution 47/223 of 16 March 1993.

Since 1989, two important verification missions have been carried out successfully under the authority of the Security Council, namely, the United Nations Observer Group in Central America (ONUCA) (November 1989-January 1992) and the United Nations Observer Mission in El Salvador (ONUSAL) (since July 1991).

In the late 1980s, with the authorization of the Security Council, the United Nations undertook major peace-keeping missions in Central America, including the United Nations Observer Group in Central America (ONUCA) (November 1989-January 1992) and the United Nations Observer Mission in El Salvador (ONUSAL) (beginning in July 1991).

2. As indicated in paragraph 3 of the report, total resources made available to ONUSAL (including the United Nations Observer Group in Central America (ONUCA)) from inception to liquidation, or 31 May 1995, amounted to $239,705,400.

Two important peacekeeping missions have been carried out in Central America under the authority of the Security Council: the United Nations Observer Group in Central America (ONUCA) (November 1989-January 1992) and the United Nations Observer Mission in El Salvador (ONUSAL) (July 1991-April 1995).

24. As at 24 October 1994, unpaid assessed contributions to the ONUSAL special account (including the United Nations Observer Group for Central America) since the inception of the mission amounted to $23.8 million.
٤٢ - وفي ٢٤ تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩٤، بلغت اﻷنصبة المقررة غير المسددة للحساب الخاص لبعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في السلفادور )بما في ذلك فريق مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في أمريكا الوسطى( منذ بداية البعثة ٢٣,٨ مليون دولار.

In accordance with General Assembly resolution 47/223 of 16 March 1993, the operations of ONUCA have been incorporated into ONUSAL. b Includes assessed contributions irrespective of collectability.
