112. The Conference affirmed that improving the effectiveness of the strengthened review process is an ongoing responsibility of States parties and therefore, in this regard, deserves further consideration in the next review cycle.

Guided by the provisions of the Final Document of the 2000 Review Conference, paragraph 7 of the section entitled " Improving the effectiveness of the strengthened review process for the Treaty " , the Chairmen of the first and second sessions of the Committee prepared factual summaries of the consideration of the issues of the Committee, which were annexed to the respective reports of the first and second sessions.

19. In accordance with the Final Document of the 2000 NPT Review Conference, paragraph 7 of the section on " Improving the effectiveness of the strengthened review process for the Treaty " , the Chairman prepared a factual summary of the Committee's consideration of the issues, which is contained in annex II to the present report.

We understand that, in accordance with the section entitled " Improving the effectiveness of the strengthened review process for the NPT " in the 2000 Final Document, a consensus recommendation to the Review Conference will be negotiated at the third and, as appropriate, fourth sessions of the Preparatory Committee.

10. The States parties reaffirmed the ongoing relevance of the intended purpose of Preparatory Committee meetings, as set out in decision 5 of " Improving the effectiveness of the strengthened review process for the Treaty " of the 2000 Review Conference and decision 1, paragraph 4, of the 1995 Review and Extension Conference.
10 - كررت الدول الأطراف تأكيد استمرار أهمية الغرض من عقد اجتماعات اللجنة التحضيرية، كما هو مبين في المقرر 5 المعنون " تحسين فعالية عملية الاستعراض المعززة للمعاهدة " الصادر عن مؤتمر الاستعراض لعام 2000 وفي الفقرة 4 من المقرر 1 الصادر عن مؤتمر عام 1995 لاستعراض المعاهدة وتمديدها.

14. The Review Conference affirmed that improving the effectiveness of the strengthened review process is an ongoing responsibility of States parties and therefore decides to put this issue on the agenda for consideration at the first meeting of the Treaty during the next review cycle.
