2. By its resolution 1997/73 of 18 April 1997, concerning measures to combat contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, the Commission took note of the aforementioned report and requested the Special Rapporteur to continue his exchange of views with Member States and the relevant mechanisms and treaty bodies in order to enhance further their effectiveness and mutual cooperation.
٢ - وأحاطت اللجنة علما بالتقرير المذكور أعلاه، في قرارها ١٩٩٧/٧٣، المؤرخ ١٨ نيسان/أبريل ١٩٩٧، والمتصل بتدابير مكافحة اﻷشكال المعاصرة من العنصرية والتمييز العنصري وكراهية اﻷجانب وما يتصل بذلك من تعصب، وطلبت إلى المقرر الخاص أن يستمر في تداول اﻵراء مع الدول اﻷعضاء واﻵليات والهيئات ذات الصلة المنشأة بموجب معاهدات بغية مواصلة تعزيز فعاليتها والتعاون فيما بينها.
