Recalling also General Assembly resolutions 48/183 of 21 December 1993, in which the Assembly proclaimed the International Year for the Eradication of Poverty, which will be celebrated in 1996, and 49/179, dated 23 December 1994, in which the Assembly reaffirmed that extreme poverty and social exclusion constitute a violation of human dignity and that States must foster participation by the poorest,
وإذ تذكر أيضا بقرار الجمعية العامة ٨٤/٣٨١ المؤرخ في ١٢ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٣٩٩١ والذي أعلنت فيه الجمعية العامة السنة الدولية للقضاء على الفقر، والاحتفال بها في عام ٦٩٩١، وبقرار الجمعية العامة ٩٤/٩٧١ المؤرخ في ٣٢ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ٤٩٩١ والذي أكدت فيه الجمعية العامة من جديد أن الفقر المدقع والحرمان الاجتماعي يشكلان انتهاكاً لكرامة اﻹنسان وأنه من الجوهري أن تعزز الدول مشاركة من هم أكثر فقراً،

ووجَه انتباه اللجنة الثانية إلى الحكم الوارد في الجزء سادسا من قرار الجمعية العامة 45/248 باء، المؤرخ 21 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1990، الذي أكدت فيه الجمعية العامة من جديد أن اللجنة الخامسة هي اللجنة الرئيسية التابعة للجمعية المسؤولة عن مسائل الإدارة والميزانية، كما أكدت من جديد على دور اللجنة الاستشارية لشؤون الإدارة والميزانية.

This mandate was extended until 31 December 2001 by resolution 55/177 of 19 December 2000, in which the General Assembly repeated its request that I should keep it informed.
وقد جددت هذه الولاية حتى 31 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2001 بموجب القرار 55/177 المؤرخ 19 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2000، الذي طلبت فيه الجمعية العامة من جديد أن أبقيها على علم بتنفيذ القرار.

Moreover, no response had been received to the Secretary-General's letters to Israel in the matter. The Group was therefore submitting a draft resolution in which the Assembly reiterated its previous requests for payment and requested the Secretary-General to report to it on the matter at its sixty-eighth session.
وأضاف أنه لم يرد أيضا أي رد على رسائل الأمين العام لإسرائيل بخصوص هذه المسألة، ولذلك فإن المجموعة تقدم مشروع قرار تكرر فيه الجمعية العامة من جديد طلباتها السابقة لإسرائيل بتسديد المبلغ وتطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يفيدها في هذه المسألة في دورتها الثامنة والستين.
