11. He reiterated his Government's support for the multilateral negotiations taking place under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and said that the outcome must be fair and equitable.

6. Developed countries should come forward with stronger commitments in the negotiations at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, if developing countries are also to develop plans for appropriate, technologically and financially supported mitigation.
6 - وينبغي أن تتعهد البلدان المتقدمة بالتزامات أقوى في المفاوضات الجارية في إطار اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية المتعلقة بتغير المناخ، إذا ما أريد للبلدان النامية أن تضع هي الأخرى خططا لاتخاذ إجراءات ملائمة للتخفيف من آثار تغير المناخ بدعم تكنولوجي ومالي.
