Takes note of the work undertaken under the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal to update the technical guidelines for the environmentally sound management of wastes consisting of, containing or contaminated with persistent organic pollutants;

This type of analysis has been extended to statistics and indicators included in the reporting systems of multilateral environmental agreements, starting with those required under the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal.

The Trust Fund to Assist Developing Countries and Other Countries in Need of Technical Assistance (Technical Cooperation Trust Fund) is a voluntary mechanism established under the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal.
25 - إن الصندوق الاستئماني لمساعدة البلدان النامية وغيرها من البلدان المحتاجة إلى مساعدة تقنية (الصندوق الاستئماني للتعاون التقني) هو آلية طوعية أنشئ في إطار اتفاقية بازل بشأن التحكم في نقل النفايات الخطرة والتخلص منها عبر الحدود.

He stated that substantial efforts had been made to identify partners in the delivery of technical assistance, as exemplified by cooperation with FAO and UNEP regional offices and regional centres established under the Basel Convention on the Control of the Transboundary Movement of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal.

(a) Training in the use of the guidelines on best available techniques and best available practices relevant to Article 5 and Annex C of the Convention, the Standardized Toolkit for the Identification and Quantification of Dioxin and Furan Releases and the guidelines developed under the Basel Convention on the environmentally sound management of persistent organic pollutants wastes;
