وإذا ما قرر المجلس أن يكرس جزأه الرفيع المستوى في عام ٩٩٩١ أو عام ٠٠٠٢ للنهوض بالمرأة، فقد يرغب في أن يضع في اعتباره أن الجمعية العامة قد دعت المجلس كذلك إلى النظر في إدراج مسألة العنـف ضـد المرأة في الجزء الرفيع المستوى من إحدى دوراته المقبلة وذلك في سياق مناقشته لحقوق اﻹنسان للمرأة )القرار ٢٥/٦٨، الفقرة ٥١(.
