His delegation urged the international community to help developing countries set up the necessary supportive policy framework and to provide financial and technical assistance to strengthen competitiveness and accelerate diversification in commodity-dependent countries.

وأكد من جديد على اﻷهمية التي توليها مجموعة اﻟ ٧٧ والصين لمسألة أسعار السلع اﻷساسية؛ ثم أعرب عن اﻷمل في أن تترجم اﻷحكام العملية التي ينص عليها مشروع القرار إلى حقيقة وفي أن يؤدي تنفيذ اﻹصلاحات وتنمية القدرات الوطنية في البلدان التي تعتمد على السلع اﻷساسية إلى المساعدة على التخفيف من مشاكلها الاقتصادية.
