The recent CROP Legal Officers Meeting decided to take steps to provide background information to legal officers in local governments in several areas, including marine pollution and its prevention, as part of the larger effort to implement provisions of UNCLOS in PICs.
وقد قرر اجتماع الموظفين القانونيين لمجلس المنظمات الإقليمية في المحيط الهادئ الذي عقد مؤخرا اتخاذ الخطوات اللازمة لتزويد الموظفين القانونيين في الحكومات المحلية في عدة مناطق بمعلومات أساسية عن أمور شتى من بينها التلوث البحري ومنعه، وذلك كجزء من الجهود الأوسع نطاقا المبذولة لتنفيذ أحكام اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لقانون البحار في بلدان جزر المحيط الهادئ.
