At its fifty-first session, the thematic debate of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs will be on progress made in meeting the goals and targets set by the General Assembly at its twentieth special session.

Decides that the theme of the ministerial-level segment to be held at its forty-sixth session shall be the assessment of the progress achieved and the difficulties encountered in meeting the goals and targets set out in the Political Declaration adopted by the General Assembly at its twentieth special session;27
1- تقرر أن يكون موضوع الجزء الوزاري الذي سيعقد في دورتها السادسة والأربعين هو تقييم التقدم المحرز والصعوبات المصادفة في بلوغ الأهداف والغايات المبينة في الاعلان السياسي الذي اعتمدته الجمعية العامة في دورتها الاستثنائية العشرين؛(27)

In its resolution 45/7, the Commission on Narcotic Drugs decided to convene a ministerial-level segment in April 2003 to assess the progress achieved and the difficulties encountered in meeting the goals and targets set out in the Political Declaration adopted by the General Assembly at its twentieth special session (General Assembly resolution S-20/2, annex).
1- قررت لجنة المخدرات، في قرارها 45/7، عقد جزء وزاري في نيسان/أبريل 2003 لتقييم التقدم المحرز والصعوبات المصادفة في بلوغ الأهداف والغايات المبينة في الاعلان السياسي الذي اعتمدته الجمعية العامة في دورتها الاستثنائية العشرين (مرفق قرار الجمعية العامة دإ-20/2).

In its resolutions 55/65 of 4 December 2000 and 56/124 of 19 December 2001, both entitled " International cooperation against the world drug problem " , the Assembly welcomed the decision of the Commission to submit a report to the Assembly in 2003 and 2008 on the progress achieved in meeting the goals and targets set out in the Political Declaration.

For its consideration of the item, the Committee had before it the report of the Secretary-General, entitled " International cooperation against the world drug problem: progress achieved in meeting the goals and targets set out in the Political Declaration adopted by the General Assembly at its twentieth special session " (A/63/111).
3 - وكان معروضا على اللجنة، لأجل النظر في البند، تقرير الأمين العام المعنون " التعاون الدولي على مكافحة مشكلة المخدرات العالمية: التقدّم المحرز في بلوغ الأهداف والغايات المحددة في الإعلان السياسي الذي اعتمدته الجمعية العامة في دورتها الاستثنائية العشرين " (A63/111).

3. 5. UNDP has supported countries in meeting the goals and targets set out in the Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS adopted by the General Assembly at its 26th Special Session on HIV/AIDS in June 2001 in resolution A/RES/S-26/2.

On the basis of those replies, the Executive Director would prepare for submission to the Commission a single biennial report that should also cover the difficulties encountered in meeting the objectives and targets agreed upon at the twentieth special session.
