In Commitment 2 of the Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development, Governments committed themselves to the goal of eradicating poverty and at the twenty-fourth special session the General Assembly agreed on new initiatives to assist in the realization of this commitment.
وفي إطار الالتزام 2 الوارد في إعلان كوبنهاغن بشأن التنمية الاجتماعية(2)، تلتزم الحكومات بالعمل على بلوغ هدف القضاء على الفقر؛ وقد اتفقت الجمعية العامة في دورتها الاستثنائية الرابعة والعشرين على مبادرات جديدة للمساعدة في تنفيذ هذا الالتزام.
