1. We, the Foreign Ministers of the Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Initiative (NPDI) - Australia, Canada, Chile, Germany, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands Nigeria, the Philippines, Poland, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates - gathered here in Hiroshima, where an atomic bomb was dropped for the first time in human history, and witnessed first-hand the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of an atomic bombing that last even to this present day.
1- نحن، وزراء خارجية الدول الأعضاء في مبادرة عدم الانتشار ونزع السلاح - أستراليا وألمانيا والإمارات العربية المتحدة وبولندا وتركيا وشيلي والفلبين وكندا والمكسيك ونيجيريا وهولندا واليابان، اجتمعنا هنا في هيروشيما، التي ألقيت عليها قنبلة ذرية لأول مرة في تاريخ البشرية وشهدنا مباشرةً العواقب الإنسانية الكارثية التي خلفها قصف ذري والتي ما زالت مستمرة إلى يومنا هذا.

10. In view of General Assembly resolution 66/44 and building on previous initiatives by members of the Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Initiative to examine technical aspects of a treaty banning the production of fissile material for nuclear weapons and other explosive devices, we support expert-level meetings in Geneva initiated this year by Germany and the Netherlands in support of the commencement of negotiations.
10 - وفي ضوء قرار الجمعية العامة 66/44، واستنادا إلى المبادرات السابقة التي قامت بها البلدان الأعضاء في مبادرة عدم الانتشار ونزع السلاح لبحث الجوانب التقنية لمعاهدة وقف انتاج المواد الانشطارية، فإننا نؤيد الاجتماعات المعقودة على مستوى الخبراء في جنيف، والتي بادرت إلى عقدها هذا العام كل من ألمانيا وهولندا دعما لبدء المفاوضات.

The members of NPDI fully support the objectives of the NSS to strengthen nuclear security and reduce the threat of nuclear terrorism.
