In accordance with rule 9 of the rules of procedures of the Preparatory Committee for the Development of a Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management, the Conference elected by acclamation the following vice-presidents to serve on the Bureau of the Conference during the current session:

Considering that the Conference will be held as a special session of the Committee, the current bureau of the Committee, the term of which covers the period up to June 2000, could continue as members of the bureau of the Conference in their current functions.
٢١ - نظرا لانعقاد المؤتمر بصفته دورة استثنائية للجنة ، فإن أعضاء المكتب الحالي للجنة الذي تشمل مدة ولايته الفترة حتى حزيران/يونيه ٠٠٠٢ ، يمكن أن يستمروا في مناصبهم الحالية بصفتهم أعضاء في مكتب المؤتمر .

It also recommended, in the context of article 6 of the draft rules of procedure, that the members of the Bureau of the Preparatory Committee should subsequently also be represented in the Bureau of the Conference.
