It also decided to give high priority to the drafting of general comments based on the principles and provisions of the Convention and mandated the Rapporteur, Mr. Doek, to define a methodology in that regard and to report to the Committee thereon at its next session.

In that resolution, the Commission also requested the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to examine ways and means of utilizing expertise and know-how on drug-related data collection at different levels, in order to inform quality assurance standards and capacity-building activities, and report thereon to the Commission at its fifty-fifth session.
كما طلبت اللجنة في ذلك القرار إلى المدير التنفيذي لمكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدّرات والجريمة (المكتب) أن يدرس سبل وطرائق الاستفادة من جوانب الخبرة والدراية في مجال جمع البيانات المتصلة بالمخدّرات على مختلف الصعد، ليُهتدى بها في معايير ضمان الجودة وأنشطة بناء القدرات وتقديم تقرير في هذا الشأن إلى اللجنة في دورتها الخامسة والخمسين.
