20. In paragraph 8 of its resolution 53/243, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General, in order to reduce the cost of employing General Service staff, to continue efforts to employ locally recruited staff for the Mission against General Service posts, commensurate with its requirements.
٢٠- وقد طلبت الجمعية العامة، في الفقرة ٨ من قرارها ٥٣/٢٤٣، إلى اﻷمين العام أن يواصل بذل الجهود لتعيين موظفين محليين في البعثة في وظائف الخدمات العامة بما يتناسب مع احتياجات البعثة، وذلك بغية خفض تكاليف تعيين موظفي فئة الخدمات العامة.

21. In paragraph 8 of its resolution 52/245, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General, in order to reduce the cost of employing General Service staff, to continue efforts to employ locally recruited staff for the Force against General Service posts, commensurate with the requirements of the Force.

12. In paragraph 7 of its resolution 53/19 of 2 November 1998, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General, in order to reduce the cost of employing General Service staff, to continue efforts to employ locally recruited staff for the Mission against General Service posts, commensurate with its requirements.
٢١- وطلبت الجمعية العامة إلى اﻷمين العام، في الفقرة ٧ من قرارها ٥٣/١٩ المؤرخ ٢ تشرين الثاني/ نوفمبر ١٩٩٨، أن يواصل بذل الجهود الرامية إلى الحد من تكلفة استخدام موظفين في فئة الخدمات العامة، وذلك بالاستعانة بموظفين معينين محليا في وظائف الخدمات العامة في بعثة المراقبين، بما يتناسب مع احتياجات البعثة.

During the period from January to September 2009, average vacancy rates were 29.5 per cent for Professional posts and 19.5 per cent for General Service posts.
