The Committee notes that, the Community Development Section and Reintegration and Local Settlement sections would be transferred from Operations to Protection.

The newly named focus area of Urban Development and Housing Policies replaces the Human Settlements section, and its activities will be implemented by a team, reporting to the Chief of Social Development Division, who is responsible for the subprogramme.
أما مجال التركيز الذي سمي مؤخراً بسياسات التنمية الحضرية وسياسات الإسكان فيحل محل قسم المستوطنات البشرية وتنفذ أنشطته من جانب فريق مسؤول أمام رئيس قسم التنمية الاجتماعية، يكون مسؤولاً عن البرنامج الفرعي.

The Division comprises three sections, namely the Social Development, Popular Participation and Non-governmental Organizations Liaison Section, the Capacity-building and Human Resources Development Section and the Public Administration and Development Management Section.
وتتألف الشُعبة من ثلاثة أقسام هي قسم التنمية الاجتماعية والمشاركة الشعبية والاتصال بالمنظمات غير الحكومية، وقسم بناء القدرات وتنمية الموارد البشرية وقسم اﻹدارة العامة وإدارة التنمية.

The Division comprises three sections: the Rural Development Section, the ESCAP/UNCHS Joint Section on Human Settlements and the Women in Development Section.

The Department has been working with the Inclusive Development Section of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, and through that Section with experts in the field, to progress in this area.

The ESCWA Human Development Section is implementing with the United Nations Development Programme a project entitled " Preparatory assistance for regional support of national efforts in pursuit of sustainable human resources " .
ويتولى قسم التنمية البشرية في اللجنة بالتعاون مع برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي تنفيذ مشروع بعنوان " مساعدة أولية للدعم اﻹقليمي للجهود الوطنية الرامية إلى كفالة استدامة الموارد البشرية " .

7.1. Rural Development Section

43. The Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), following the reorganization in 2006 that placed human and social development activities within the Human and Social Development Section of the African Centre for Gender and Social Development, is now in a better position to give wider attention to the issue of ageing in the region.
43 - ولقد أصبحت اللجنة الاقتصادية لأفريقيا، بعد إعادة تنظيمها في عام 2006 بحيث أصبحت أنشطة التنمية البشرية والاجتماعية ضمن قسم التنمية البشرية والاجتماعية بالمركز الأفريقي للشؤون الجنسانية والتنمية الاجتماعية، في وضع أفضل لتوسيع الاهتمام بمسألة الشيخوخة في المنطقة.

56. The Bangkok Office of the UN-Habitat Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific is co-located with the Sustainable Urban Development Section, Environment and Development Division of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
56 - يتشاطر مكتب بانكوك التابع للمكتب الإقليمي للموئل في آسيا والمحيط الهادئ موقعا مشتركا مع قسم التنمية الحضرية المستدامة التابع لشعبة البيئة والتنمية باللجنة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لآسيا والمحيط الهادئ.

The Bangkok office of the UN-Habitat regional office for Asia and the Pacific is co-located with the Sustainable Urban Development Section, Environment and Development Division of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), which has substantially strengthened the collaboration and partnerships.
59 - يتشارك مكتب بانكوك التابع لمكتب موئل الأمم المتحدة الإقليمي لآسيا والمحيط الهادئ مع قسم التنمية الحضرية المستدامة بشعبة البيئة والتنمية في اللجنة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لآسيا والمحيط الهادئ في المكان، على نحو يعزز التعاون والشراكات بينهما بقدر كبير.

70. As of October 2010, the UN-Habitat Bangkok office was co-located with the Sustainable Urban Development Section of the ESCAP Environment and Development Division, with a view to strengthening effective collaboration between the two agencies.
70 - وفي تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2010، تم نقل مقر مكتب بانكوك التابع لموئل الأمم المتحدة إلى نفس الموقع الذي يشغله قسم التنمية الحضرية المستدامة التابع لشعبة البيئة والتنمية في اللجنة الاقتصادية، وذلك بغية تعزيز التعاون الفعال بين الوكالتين.

As at October 2010, the UN-Habitat Bangkok Office was co-located with the Sustainable Urban Development Section of the Economic Commission's Environment and Development Division with a view to strengthening effective collaboration between the two agencies.
26 - وفي تشرين الأول/أكتوبر2010، نُقل مقر مكتب بانكوك التابع لموئل الأمم المتحدة إلى نفس الموقع الذي يشغله قسم التنمية الحضرية المستدامة التابع لشعبة البيئة والتنمية في اللجنة الاقتصادية وذلك بغية تعزيز التعاون الفعال بين الوكالتين.

44. The Development Section of the Strategic Communications Division of the Department of Public Information participated in the production of the International Year of Youth brochure and kit and organized the press conference and materials for the appointment of Monique Coleman as United Nations Youth Champion.
44 - شارك قسم التنمية التابع لشعبة الاتصالات الاستراتيجية بإدارة شؤون الإعلام في إصدار كتيب ومجموعة السنة الدولية للشباب، ونظم عقد المؤتمر الصحفي وإصدار المواد الإعلامية لتعيين مونيك كولمان بطلة لشباب الأمم المتحدة.

V.27. As indicated in paragraph 16.37 of the proposed programme budget, it is proposed to establish one P-5 post for the Chief, Rural Development Section, " to manage, develop and coordinate the programme of work relating to regional rural poverty alleviation, sustainable agriculture and rural development " .
خامسا - ٢٧ وكما يتضح من الفقرة ١٦-٣٧ من الميزانية البرنامجية المقترحة، يُقترح إنشاء وظيفة برتبة ف - ٥ لرئيس قسم التنمية الريفية " ﻹدارة وتطوير وتنسيق برنامج العمل ذي الصلة بتخفيف حدة الفقر في الريف، والزراعة المستدامة، والتنمية الريفية " .
