وقد وضعت الجمعية العامة ذلك في اعتبارها وأنشأت، في عام ١٩٨١، صندوق اﻷمم المتحدة للتبرعات لضحايا التعذيب، وذلك لتوجيه المساعدة اﻹنسانية والقانونية والمالية إلى ضحايا التعذيب وأسرهم في أي مكان في العالم، من خلال قنوات المساعدة القائمة.

3. According to General Assembly resolution 46/122, grants from the Fund shall be given to extend, through established channels of assistance, humanitarian, legal and financial aid to individuals whose human rights have been severely violated as a result of contemporary forms of slavery.
3 - بناء على قرار الجمعية العامة 46/122، تقدم منح الصندوق، من خلال قنوات المساعدة القائمة لتقديم العون الإنساني والقانوني والمالي، إلى الأفراد الذين تعرضت حقوق الإنسان الخاصة بهم لانتهاكات جسيمة نتيجة لأشكال الرق المعاصرة.
