(a) To review, evaluate and, where necessary, update their national laws to effectively prohibit sentences involving any form of corporal punishment for crimes committed by children;
(أ) استعراض وتقييم، بل وتحديث إذا اقتضت الضرورة، قوانينها الوطنية بحيث تحظر حظراً فعَّالاً إصدار أيِّ أحكام تنطوي على أيِّ شكل من أشكال العقاب الجسدي في الجرائم التي يرتكبها الأطفال؛

(a) To review, evaluate and, where necessary, update their national laws to effectively prohibit sentences involving any form of corporal punishment for crimes committed by children;
(أ) استعراض وتقييم، بل وتحديث إذا اقتضت الضرورة، قوانينها الوطنية بحيث تحظر حظرا فعالا إصدار أي أحكام تنطوي على أي شكل من أشكال العقاب الجسدي في الجرائم التي يرتكبها الأطفال؛

The Committee recommends that the State party pursue its efforts with a view to ensuring full compatibility of its national law with the Convention, taking due regard of the general principles of the Convention, including those relating to the prohibition of discrimination, the best interests of the child and respect for the views of the child.
٨٣٤ - توصي اللجنة بأن تتابع الدولة الطرف جهودها بغية كفالة تطويع قوانينها الوطنية بحيث تتطابق بشكل كامل مع أحكام اتفاقية حقوق الطفل، مـع المراعـاة الواجبة للمبادئ العامة للاتفاقية، بما في ذلك المبادئ المتعلقة بمنع التمييز، وبتحقيق المصالح الفضلـى للطفـل، واحترام آرائه.

(أ) استعراض وتقييم وتحديث قوانينها الوطنية بحيث تحظر حظراً فعالاً إصدار أيِّ أحكام تنطوي على الجَلد أو الضرب بالعصا أو بالسياط أو أيِّ شكل آخر من أشكال العقاب الجسدي في الجرائم التي يرتكبها الأطفال؛

(b) To review, evaluate and update their national laws to ensure that, under legislation and practice, neither capital punishment nor life imprisonment is imposed for offences committed by persons when they were under 18 years of age.
(ب) استعراض وتقييم وتحديث قوانينها الوطنية بحيث تكفل، بموجب التشريعات وفي الممارسة العملية، عدمَ توقيع عقوبة الإعدام أو السجن المؤبد في الجرائم التي يرتكبها أيُّ شخص يقل عُمْرُه عن ١٨ عاماً.
