The Presidents confirm that the Treaty between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on Military Cooperation of 28 March 1994 and the fulfilment of the obligations set out in the Treaty provide a long-term basis for cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation within the framework of a common military strategic area in order to ensure their military security, including nuclear security.
