114. The view was expressed that there should be greater harmony between the expected accomplishments and indicators of achievement contained in the budget fascicle and those outlined in the medium-term plan for the period 2002-2005.
114 - وأعرب عن رأي مفاده ضرورة زيادة المواءمة بين الإنجازات المتوقعة ومؤشرات الإنجاز الواردتين في كراسة الميزانية من ناحية ونظيرتيهما الواردتين في الخطة المتوسطة الأجل للفترة 2002-2005، من ناحية أخرى.

It was considered that while the objectives of the five subprogrammes in the budget fascicle corresponded to the objectives of the same subprogrammes in the medium-term plan, expected accomplishments and indicators of achievement were at variance between the two documents.
واعتُبر أن أهداف البرامج الفرعية الخمسة الواردة في كراسة الميزانية مطابقة لأهداف نفس البرامج الفرعية الواردة في الخطة المتوسطة الأجل، ولكن توجد فوارق بين الوثيقتين من حيث الإنجازات المتوقعة ومؤشرات الإنجاز.

Concern was expressed that the programme budget fascicle, which should be in accordance with the medium-term plan, had been prepared prior to the finalization and adoption of the medium-term plan by the General Assembly and the Secretariat had not corrected the fascicle accordingly.

258. It was noted that important principles embodied in paragraphs 19.3 (d) and (e) of programme 19 of the medium-term plan had not been reflected in the overview of the programme budget fascicle.

XI.30 It is stated in the budget fascicle that the Secretary-General will present an update on the consultancy work in his forthcoming progress report to the General Assembly at the sixty-eighth session, which will include, inter alia, the project scope, duration and resource requirements.
