The present note has been prepared by the UNCTAD secretariat in accordance with Economic and Social Council decision 2005/309 and the report of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development on its eighth session (E/2005/31).

At the same meeting, the Council adopted draft decision III, entitled " Report of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development on its eighth session and provisional agenda and documentation for the ninth session of the Commission " recommended by the Commission.8 See Council decision 2005/309.
140 - وفي الجلسة ذاتها، اعتمد المجلس مشروع المقرر الثالث المعنون " تقرير اللجنة المعنية بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا لأغراض التنمية عن دورتها الثامنة وجدول الأعمال المؤقت والوثائق للدورة التاسعة للجنة " الذي أوصت به اللجنة(8).

1. Takes note of the findings contained in the report of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development on its eighth session and of the following recommendations of the Commission at its eighth session, and invites Governments to review these recommendations and to consider implementing them as they deem appropriate:
