2. The process of compilation, which was conducted in accordance with the guidelines contained in the resolution of 27 September 2007 concerning the implementation of the universal periodic review mechanism, involved ministerial departments and advisory bodies as well as the National Advisory Committee on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (CNCPPDH), which was associated with the process from the outset.
2- وقد اشترك في صياغة هذا التقرير، التي جرت وفقاً للإرشادات الواردة في القرار المؤرخ 27 أيلول/سبتمبر 2007 بشأن تنفيذ آلية الاستعراض الدوري الشامل، إدارات وزارية وهيئات استشارية، فضلاً عن اللجنة الوطنية الاستشارية لترقية وحماية حقوق الإنسان التي أُشركت في صياغة هذا التقرير منذ البداية.

24. On 9 October 2002, the President of the Republic set up the National Advisory Committee on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (CNCPPDH), which has 44 members, including 16 women, and is based on the principle of sociological and institutional pluralism.
24- نصّب رئيس الجمهورية، في 9 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2001، أعضاء اللجنة الوطنية الاستشارية لترقية وحماية حقوق الإنسان. وتقوم هذه اللجنة، المؤلفة من 44 عضواً منهم 16 امرأة، على مبدأ التعددية الاجتماعية والمؤسسية.

(8) While noting with satisfaction the establishment of the National Advisory Commission for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights on 9 October 2001, the Committee remains concerned about the lack of available information on the work of the Commission.
