From 2001, the ACSJC co-operated with the National Committee on Human Rights Education in fostering Human Rights Education in its substantial national network including schools, religious orders, parishes, social justice groups and church agencies.

Finally, Italy recommended developing a national strategy for Human Rights Education in the school system in accordance with the Plan of Action 2005-2009 of the World Programme for human rights education, including the review and revision of curricula and textbooks, the training of teachers and the practice of human rights in the school community.

NKHR/KBA indicated that the implementation of Human Rights Education in the country will have to be positioned as the utmost priority.

22- ومن المقرر عقد حلقة عمل دون إقليمية بشأن تعزيز القدرات الوطنية لتعليم حقوق الإنسان في مدارس دول الخليج في شهر أيار/مايو 2003، بتنظيم مشترك بين المفوضية السامية لحقوق الإنسان ومنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة (اليونسكو) ومنظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (اليونيسيف)، وبالتعاون مع المعهد العربي لحقوق الإنسان.
