Introducing the Advisory Committee's related report on the review of the experience of the utilization of the contingency fund (A/62/349), he noted that increasing the fund to accommodate all potential additional resource demands for 2008-2009 would not contribute to budget discipline, as envisaged in the relevant provisions of General Assembly resolutions 41/213 and 42/211.
