We are equally anguished and feel a great sense of loss over the demise of His Excellency Mr. Cheddi Jagan, the late President of the Republic of Guyana, who led the Government since his second accession to office in 1992 after the first free and fair elections in post-independent Guyana.
وإننا نشعــــر بقدر مساو من الحزن والخسارة لوفاة فخامة السيــــد تشـــــدي جاغان، الرئيس الراحل لجمهورية غيانا الذي قاد الحكومة منذ توليه الثاني لمنصب الرئاسة في عام ١٩٩٢ عقب إجراء الانتخابات الحرة والنزيهة اﻷولى بعـــد نيل غيانا الاستقلال.

Mr. Cheddi Jagan's career as a political leader lasted half a century. He led his country to independence and served as President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana from October 1992 until his untimely demise.
إن المسار الوظيفي للسيد تشدي جاغان بوصفه قائدا سياسيا دام نصف قرن من الزمان فقد قاد بلده إلى الاستقلال وكان رئيسا لجمهورية غيانا التعاونية من تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩٢ حتى موته المفاجئ.

The present Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (Hereafter CEDAW) Report for the Cooperative Republic of Guyana (hereafter Guyana) outlines key measures adopted by the State Party in implementing CEDAW within its jurisdiction from 2004 to 2010.
