Encourages the States members of the Economic Community of Central African States to pursue their efforts to render the early-warning mechanism for Central Africa fully operational as an instrument for analysing and monitoring the political situation in the subregion within the framework of the prevention of crises and armed conflicts, and requests the Secretary-General to provide the necessary assistance for its smooth functioning;
8 - تشجع الدول الأعضاء في الجماعة الاقتصادية لدول وسط أفريقيا على مواصلة بذل جهودها من أجل التشغيل الكامل لآلية الإنذار المبكر لوسط أفريقيا كأداة لتحليل ورصد الحالة السياسية في المنطقة دون الإقليمية في إطار منع الأزمات ونشوب الصراعات المسلحة وتطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم إلى هذه الآلية ما يلزمها من المساعدة لتسيير عملها بشكل سلس؛

" The Council encourages the Economic Community of Central African States to assist Central African countries in ensuring the effective implementation of arms embargoes imposed by the Council and, in this context, to establish measures such as inquiries into illicit arms trafficking routes, followup of possible violations and cooperation in border monitoring, in consultation with the countries concerned.
