64. On 3 December 2013, the United Nations Project Office on Governance received a delegation from Iraq that was on an e-governance study tour.

The Division and the United Nations Project Office on Governance jointly organized a global forum on e-government, entitled " Smart e-government for a better future " , in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy of the Republic of Korea in October 2012.

69. The Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the United Nations Project Office on Governance jointly sponsored a workshop on e-government in Asia and the Pacific, in collaboration with the Republic of Korea Ministry of Public Administration and Security and ESCAP, in May 2011.

78. In 2013, the Department of Economic and Social Affairs organized regional workshops to build e-leadership capacity in cooperation with the United Nations Project Office on Governance and sponsored an expert group meeting entitled " The Transformative Power of e-Government " (Bahrain).

49. The United Nations Project Office on Governance was established in June 2006 following the sixth global forum on reinventing government, at which participants called for the creation of an international office to promote transparency and participatory governance around the world.
49 - أُنشئ مكتب مشروع الأمم المتحدة لشؤون الحوكمة() في حزيران/يونيه 2006 في أعقاب المنتدى العالمي السادس المعني بإعادة تحديد ماهية الحكومة الذي دعا المشاركون فيه إلى إنشاء مكتب دولي لتعزيز الشفافية والتشاركية في مختلف أنحاء العالم.

The Department also organized the Global e-Government Forum on Smart Government and Smart Society through its affiliate, the United Nations Project Office on Governance, in cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Korea, and partnered in the organization of the Government Summit held in the United Arab Emirates.
