These limitations make it difficult to clearly represent the magnitude of the problem, namely the real number of victims of violence against women.
75 - وتجعل هذه القيود من الصعب تمثيل مدى تفشي المشكلة تمثيلا واضحا، أي تقديم العدد الحقيقي لضحايا العنف ضد المرأة.

The Federation has been working in cooperation with governmental and other organizations to prevent violence against women and trafficking in persons. 54 counseling centers have been established in the States/Divisions and Districts providing counseling services to the victims of violence against women and trafficking in persons.

5. Services for victims of violence against women

The Government, in partnership with NGOs, should set up crisis centres for victims of violence against women.

Preceding the adoption of the specific Law and Regulation on Domestic Violence, a Joint Agreement on Integrated Services for victims of violence against women and Children was signed in 2002 between the State Minister for Women Empowerment, Minister of Health, Minister of Social Affairs and Head of National Police.
قبل اعتماد القانون واللائحة المحددتين والمتعلقتين بالعنف العائلي، وقِعَ اتفاق مشترك بشأن توفير الخدمات المتكاملة لضحايا العنف ضد المرأة والطفل في عام 2002، بين وزارة الدولة لشؤون تمكين المرأة، ووزارة الصحة، ووزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية، ورئيس الشرطة الوطنية.

The Committee notes with concern that the incidence of gender-based violence and sexual assault is supported by gender-biased attitudes that blame the female victim and that redress for victims of violence against women is limited.

3. Remedies for victims of violence against women

survivors of VAW have the right to adequate reparation and rehabilitation that covers their physical and mental health.

States, such as the Netherlands and Peru, are providing free legal assistance to victims/survivors of violence against women.
