A meeting of the Permanent Consultative Framework of the Ouagadougou Agreement is scheduled for the end of October to address this issue, especially its potential impact on the current electoral timeline.
ومن المقرر أن يعقد اجتماع للإطار الاستشاري الدائم لاتفاق واغادوغو في نهاية تشرين الأول/أكتوبر للتطرق لهذه المسألة، لا سيما أثرها المحتمل على الجدول الزمني الحالي للانتخابات.

During the last meeting of the Permanent Consultative Framework of the Ouagadougou Agreement on 10 November, the Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission was requested to develop and announce, by 31 December 2008, a new timeline for the completion of the identification and voter registration processes, as well as a new date for the elections.

No progress has been made in this regard, however, due, in particular, to the fact that the followup meeting of the Permanent Consultative Framework that was initially scheduled to convene in January to discuss the new timeline was postponed on two occasions.

1. At the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Blaise Compaoré, President of Burkina Faso, Facilitator of the inter-Ivorian direct dialogue, the sixth meeting of the Permanent Consultative Framework of the Ouagadougou Political Agreement was held in Ouagadougou on Thursday, 3 December 2009.

" The Security Council commends the Facilitator for convening a meeting of the Permanent Consultative Framework on the 10 November 2008, in order for the Ivorian political actors to address all the main difficulties of the electoral process, and in particular with a view to finding an agreement on the new electoral time frame.
" ويثني مجلس الأمن على الميسِّر الذي دعا لعقد اجتماع للإطار الاستشاري الدائم في 10 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2008، وذلك لكي تتمكن الأطراف السياسية الإيفوارية الفاعلة من معالجة جميع الصعوبات الرئيسية التي تواجه العملية الانتخابية، وبصفة خاصة من أجل التوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن الإطار الزمني الجديد للانتخابات.

12. On 9 May, the Facilitator of the Ivorian peace process convened the third meeting of the Permanent Consultative Framework of the Ouagadougou Agreement, which comprises the main Ivorian political leaders (President Gbagbo, Prime Minister Soro, Mr. Bédié and Mr. Ouattara).
