19. Despite the increased number of applications for consultative status with the Council, which is expected to double between 1998 and 1999, even taking into account that the new procedures introduced into the application and reclassification process will further add to the workload of the Section, it is expected that at its current strength, the Section will be able to process those applications in an efficient and timely manner.
١٩ - وبرغم العدد المتزايد من الطلبات المقدمة للحصول على المركز الاستشاري لدى المجلس وهو متوقع أن يتضاعف بين عامي ١٩٩٨ و ١٩٩٩، وحتى مع مراعاة ما تم اتباعه من اﻹجراءات الجديدة في عملية الطلبات وإعادة التصنيف بما من شأنه أن يزيد من عبء العمل الذي يضطلع به القسم، فمن المتوقع أن يتمكن القسم بقوامه الحالي من تجهيز هذه الطلبات بطريقة تجمع بين الكفاءة وحُسن التوقيت.

(c) Emphasized also that this decision shall apply to those non-governmental organizations and other major groups accredited to the World Summit on Sustainable Development that have submitted their applications for consultative status with the Council or that express, during the first two-year implementation cycle, preferably by 14 April 2004, their wish to participate in that cycle;
(ج) أكد أيضا أن هذا المقرر يسري على المنظمات غير الحكومية والمجموعات الرئيسية الأخرى المعتمدة لدى مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية المستدامة التي قدمت طلباتها للحصول على المركز الاستشاري لدى المجلس أو التي تعرب، أثناء دورة التنفيذ الأولى التي مدتها سنتان، عن رغبتها في المشاركة في تلك الدورة، ويفضل أن يكون ذلك بحلول 14 نيسان/أبريل 2004؛
