One of the main outcomes of the twelfth session of the Conference, held in June 2008, was its decision on climate change; namely: (a) Africa's preparations for developing a common negotiating position on a comprehensive international climate change regime beyond 2012; and (b) a comprehensive framework of African climate change programmes.
