81. A provision of principle 26 of the Basic Principles on the Role of Lawyers is that codes of professional conduct for lawyers should be established by the legal profession or by legislation in accordance with national laws and recognized international standards and norms.

130. The Special Rapporteur also recommends that the mass media endeavour to employ a diverse workforce within which all sectors of society are represented and urges the press and mass media to voluntarily establish and adopt codes of professional conduct that help them to achieve this diversity.

In that regard, article 40 of the Act states that the Banking and Financial Oversight Commission, in close cooperation with the Association of Credit Institutions, should specify a " code of professional conduct, particularly concerning relations with clients, other banks and the authorities, and on the prevention of criminal money-laundering " .
