With a view to laying the foundations for the sustainable development of Kyrgyzstan's mountain regions, and preparing for and conducting the International Year of Mountains in Kyrgyzstan, I hereby decide:
إرساء لأسس التنمية المستدامة للمناطق الجبلية من البلاد في المستقبل، وتحضيرا للسنة الدولية للجبال وإقامتها في جمهورية قيرغيزستان، قررنا ما هو آت:

A report of the Secretary-General on the state of preparations for the Year is to be submitted to the Assembly at its fifty-fifth session.
وسيقدم إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الخامسة والخمسين تقرير للأمين العام عن حالة الأعمال التحضيرية للسنة الدولية للجبال.

It further called upon all three entities as well as the private sector to make voluntary contributions in support of the Year.

4. Plan of activities to implement the National Programme for the Preparation and Conduct of the International Year of Mountains in Kyrgyzstan

In the Philippines, the Negros Committee for the International Year of Mountains was a key participant in the ongoing advocacy campaign to prosecute illegal loggers in forests of the region.
